Sheryl Underwood is an American comedian, TV host and performer best known for hosting The Talk, a popular talk show on daytime. The Talk. Born in Arkansas She was raised at Little Rock and Atwater. Sheryl lives in a family that is turbulent. Sheryl was raised by her sister Frankie. Frankie had suffered with the disease of Polio. Growing up, she had an uneasy relationship with her mother. Sheryl says that at an incident, she was stabbed by her father because he was being too close with her. Sheryl when she graduated from college, joined the army. Her passion was comedy. She was the first woman to be a finalist in the contest Miller Lite Comedy Search held in 1989. In 1992, she began her TV debut with regular appearances on the HBO show Def Comedy Jam. The show was hosted by her Oh Drama! in 2000. Since 2011 she has been hosting as a co-host of The Talk, a talk show. The Talk. She has played in fictional series such as Bulworth Nikki, Beauty Shop and others.
