LeBron Raymone James Sr., born December 30, 1984 is an American professional basketball player for the Los Angeles Lakers (NBA). The nickname is King James he is widely thought to be one of the best players of all time and is often compared to Michael Jordan in debates over the best basketball player of all time. James has won two Olympic golds and four NBA titles. James has scored more points in the playoffs. He also has the second highest number of career points, and has the seventh-highest number of career assists. It is a NBA record that he has been an NBA All-Star for 18 years. The ten NBA Finals is the most ever before, with eight of them in a row between the years 2011-2018; he was also selected to join The NBA 75th Anniversary team. In 2021, James was chosen to join the NBA 75th Anniversary Team, and in 2022 became the first player of NBA history to accumulate 10,000 points or more in a career in rebounds and assists. James was a basketball player at St. Vincent St. Mary High School, in Akron Ohio. The national press praised James as an NBA star. He was in the process of becoming a professional and selected with the top selection of the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Draft of 2003. He was voted one of the NBA rookie of the year in 2004. He soon became one of the premier players of the NBA, winning an NBA MVP Award both 2009 and 2010. James was a free agency following his failure to secure championships for Cleveland. He made the decision to leave Cleveland for Miami Heat, announced on the television show The Decision, is considered one of the controversial free-agent decisions in the history of sports.
