Sofia Pernas was born in Morocco and moved to California at age five. She grew up primarily within Orange County. Her first break into acting in the year of 2015. The same year, Sofia Pernas received her degree from University of California San Diego. Pernas appeared in minor roles on NCIS and Leverage and Leverage, however she got the part in the role of Marisa in The Young and the Restless. In the wake of her departure from soap opera Jane the Virgin in 2016 The actress was appointed in the role of Catalina, a character who appeared on the show regularly. The model with four language skills has appeared as Hannah Rivera on The Brave since 2016, The Green Ghost in 2017 as well as Secret Society of Second Born Royals. Her role as Lexi Vaziri was on Blood & Treasure between the years of 2019 and 2020. Us Weekly revealed in May of 2020 that Pernas is dating Justin Hartley, her The Young and the Restless co-star. The romance came following The This Is Us star split with her wife Chrishell Stause November of 2019. Pernas Hartley tied the knot in secret with Pernas on May 20, 2021.
