Lauren Zoe Hernandez was born June 9 1999. She is an American artist gymnast. She competed in senior gymnastics in the U.S. women ?Ts gymnastics team which was dubbed"the "Final Five", at the 2016 Summer Olympics. The U.S. eventually won gold in the team competition. Hernandez was awarded the silver medal in the individual balance beam event. 3 She resumed training late in 2018 and expressed interest in returning to be a part of the U.S. women's gymnastic team for the Tokyo Olympics in 2021 however, she was not able to qualify for the Olympic Gymnastics Trials. In addition to gymnastics, Hernandez has appeared on season 23 of Dancing with the Stars in 2016where she took home the competition with her partner Val Chmerkovskiy. Hernandez was the reporter on-course for American Ninja Warrior Junior and she appeared as Valeria during Nickelodeon's animated miniseries Middle School Moguls. Hernandez is the writer of I Got This: To Gold and Beyond (New York Times Bestseller) and She's Got This (Kids Book).
